My Car

Most people can not wait to turn 16 so they can get their license. I was not so lucky because I failed the permit test 4 or 5 times before I could get my license. Once I got my license I bought a car with the money I had earned working during my freshman and sophomore year for Greyhound Bus Lines. I bought a stick shift white 4 door Toyota corolla 97 with 39,000 mileage. I bough it from my uncle for $ 4000.
It is a fact that new drivers are reckless because they don't have much experience driving and most of them speed to test the car in every way possible. If the driver pays for the car they are a little more cautious driving it because they have paid for it. As for those who speed they usually stop speeding after their first ticket. In fact I was speeding February 15, 2005 on McKinley when I was pulled over the police officer said, " Put your hand on the wheel," he thought I had a gun then when he came up close he said, "You were flying!" I replied, "really!" knowing I was going 55 mph at a 30 mph zone. He got my license and registration and asked why I was speeding. I said I had to make it to the prayer. Then he went back and checked my record and found that since I had no points on my record he gave me a warning and said if I were stopped next time by anyone I would be given a ticket. The officer seemed like a nice guy.
I have an advise for you if you get pulled over by a police officer do not tell him that I am paying for your salary, through taxes, because the police will take you to jail!!
LOL
